Breaking Bad - 2025

ㅤㅤSeason 1
People were right about the first season being slow, but I think it's a good kind of slow. I like the buildup, but one thing that bothered me is how Walter is acting different. I felt like we as the viewer don't know what Walter is like normally (before the cancer) so the fact that he's acting strange isn't as effective as it could be. From everything I've seen, this IS the normal Walter. Other than that, solid season. Love the premise, great setting, and amazing tension. I also didn't know that Walter used to have hair and had cancer so I was very shocked going into it. "HE HAS HAIR???" I'm glad that wasn't spoiled for me. That and his pseudonym is "Heisenberg". I never see anyone online use that name. So far, of the three shows that have "bad" or "asshole" protagonists (House, BoJack, Breaking Bad), Walter is the most sympathetic imo. Oh one more thing, I cannot stop hearing Todd from BoJack whenever Jesse speaks. I love that they're basically the same character, except one spiralled deeper into drugs lol

Season 2
What is the deal with the stuffed toy... I feel like this show does the *record scratch* 'Yup, that's me. You're probably wondering how I got there.' thing too much. Anyway, SAUL!! I kept going IT'S HIM everytime I saw him lol. I love his character a lot. A lot of good characters introduced this season, Jane gone too soon. Walter's so fucked for that. Be it Jesse or Todd, he can't catch a break with shitty 'friends'. One thing I liked about the season is that they finally showed how meth affects people. Most of the trouble we see is how dealing meth is dangerous but I felt like it was lacking when it came to showing the sad life of meth addicts. So I'm glad they had some episodes dedicated to that, and Jane who was a tragic loss to drugs. Solid season, ramped up quite a bit.

Season 3
Wowowow, a lot things coming to a head this season. Yet still they have that record scratch thing they're building up for the longest time. At this point it's just comical. They keep teasing the viewer with that eyeball. The plane collision fakeout too. The broken window of the car. It keeps breaking and you're like, okay this is it. It's finally happening, but no. We don't see what the deal with the burnt stuffed toy is and the body bags and whatnot. This is like the biggest tease in television history, IT'S BEEN TWO SEASONS! Anyway, I'm sure this isn't the end of the cartel but what a way to put a pin on it. Hank finally cracks the case (but gets screwed at the edge), Skyler finally finds out about Walter's drug manufacturing, and Gale gets capped. From the get-go I knew Gus would use Gale to replace Walter. Gus is a great villain, Hank's PTSD is portrayed greatly, and Fly was an amazing episode to check in with how Walter and Jesse are doing. Best season so far.
